Legal Vocabulary: Bailment

Bailment is defined by the dictionary on Law.com as, “The act of placing property in the custody and control of another, usually by agreement in which the holder (bailee) is responsible for the safekeeping and return of the property. Examples: bonds left with the bank, autos parked in a garage, animals lodged with a kennel, or a storage facility (as long as the goods can be moved and are under the control of the custodian).”

According to Drugs.com, Lotrel “contains a combination of amlodipine and benazepril. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker. Amlodipine relaxes (widens) blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Benazepril is an ACE inhibitor. ACE stands for angiotensin converting enzyme. Benazepril also widens blood vessels and also prevents the body from retaining water.

Lotrel is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).”
